You are a Mother—Strong, Beautiful, and Powerful

You are a Mother—Strong, Beautiful, and Powerful

You carried me for 9 months without ever giving up. Gave birth to me knowing that half of your life is at stake, and the whole of your life dedicated to guiding me towards the right path. You accepted the responsibility of multiple jobs, and even though that already seems a lot to handle, you did everything with care for my well-being while listening to your spouse’s joys and woes, and enduring your internal war with menstrual cramps.

You did so much for me through the years. Now, let me take care of you.

This world was a whole new universe to me. I cried so loud it must have deafened machines, but to us, it was the first music we shared, and there were more—the gentle hum of comfort as you embraced me, whispers of love and care as you muttered my name. Eventually, I learned how to mutter your name.

You let me exchange sounds with you. From then on, I knew you were the world’s greatest singer. As I grew up, I realized you weren’t just a singer at all.

You are the greatest linguist as you made sense of every word I said. With accuracy, because if it weren’t accurate, I would cry.

You are the best teacher. You answer all my questions in the simplest way I could understand. You let me learn from experience, and pull me back up every time I fall.

You are the best nutritionist and cook. You knew what’s healthy and what’s not, and how to secretly recreate what’s healthy into something that looks like it’s not. You just knew what’s best for me and you always stepped up your game. Any cooking show challenger would be frightened to battle with you.

You are the best athlete. You never tire of running with me, even dancing with me.

And when I push too hard and injure myself,

You are the best doctor. You knew where it hurt, and how to cure it. If you couldn’t, you would refer me to other doctors with the appropriate expertise.

You are the best researcher. You just know where I would keep the things I forget, you know where I would hide my secrets, and you would know when I’m in love without ever having a conversation about it. You would also know where I would keep my diary.

You are the best scientist. Everything you do has a method that produces results. Got a problem with a stained shirt? Get your regular detergent and add ½ a cup of baking soda, ½ a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup of dishwasher detergent, ½ to 1 cup of distilled white vinegar, ¼ to ½ cup of lemon juice, pre-soaked lemons, add water and soak your clothes under the sunlight!

You are the best accountant. You make sure the bills are paid while we still get to eat decent food. Even have a vacation from time to time!

And for that, you are also the best travel buddy. Words can’t describe your expertise in packing. You always remember what we need, and where to go when we are lost.

When I feel lost, you are the best lawyer. You knew how to fight for me, and that’s all I ever needed—someone who would support me in all my goals and believe in the things that I can do for you and the world.

You are all these professionals, and more, because you are a mother.

You carried me for 9 months without ever giving up. Gave birth to me knowing that half of your life is at stake, and the whole of your life dedicated to guiding me towards the right path. You accepted the responsibility of multiple jobs, and even though that already seems a lot to handle, you did everything with love and care for my well-being while listening to your spouse’s joys and woes, and enduring your internal war with menstrual cramps.

You did so much for me through the years. Now, let me take care of you.

Let me carry those groceries you never tire of buying. Let me read that mail when you’re eyeglasses are missing. Let me plan that vacation you have been wanting to have. Let me make the house’s budget plan. Let me worry about the bills. Let me clean the house, wash the dishes, do the laundry, cook the meals, feed and bathe the pets, and tend the garden.

Let go of the responsibility for a while. It’s my time to return the favor.

This mother’s day, feel extra special with Ananta Stones' Rose Quartz Collection.

Rose Quartz is a mothering crystal.  It promotes bonding and is a great talisman of relationships. It develops a closer bond with family, friends, and will reconnect you to the Earth, Universe, and the Divine. The stone also increases fertility, and is good to place near the stomach during pregnancy to assist in childbirth and postpartum depression. It supports the female reproductive system, and alleviates sexual difficulties. It is an effective sleep crystal for children and adults, prevents nightmares, and eases upheavals of mid-life crisis.

Renowned for its powers in beautification, it is thought by the Egyptians and Romans to clear complexion and prevent wrinkles. For this history, beauty consultants often use Rose Quartz as a support stone for their work. It also stimulates proper functioning of the heart and circulatory system, aids in relieving tension and stress, palpitations or skipped beats, stabilizes irregular heart rhythm which are all ideal for premature babies or young children with heart weakness or disease, or anyone who needs a stronger, more stable heart.

Aside from the heart’s physical health, it restores trust and helps you understand and accept past situations. The stone dispels fears and suspicions, and dissolves emotional wounds and resentments. Rose Quartz is very effective in reprogramming the heart into accepting that the infinite source of love comes from the self. If you love yourself, you can truly love others.

To all the mothers out there, thank you for your unconditional love. We love you. Happy Mother’s Day! Embrace your feminine energy and be proud of the many things you can do. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are powerful.
